Il Mago's boots slid noiselessly across the sloping, snowcapped roofs of Luca's trading district. He watched the streets below, last-minute Christmas traders crowded on to the cobblestone, busily flowing up and down like some chaotic flow of water. Snowflakes drifted lightly on their heads, littering their hair with a layer of glistening, white flecks. They iced the rooftops with snow, sloping down to icicles that glowed in the candlelight leaking through the windows of the buildings from which they hung.
Snow tumbled towards the villagers below as Il Mago skidded to a halt on the eaves of one of the smaller houses, the leap ahead too far fo
"CESARE!"
Marietta's voice rose loudly above even the rapping sounding through the kitchen. She had been sitting on the weathered kitchen table, waiting for him. Soft on her toes, she skipped across the room to let him inside. The old, broken door creaked as it always had when it opened, revealing their dark-haired uncle. He was dressed in his usual brown coat, his hair slick smartly back behind his ears.
"MARIETTA!" Cesare responded, mimicking her tone as he carefully closed the door behind himself. She waited until he had removed his coat, revealing bone-thin arms beneath a lightly crumpled shirt, before jumping at him. He caught her and

I count the cracks in between the blocks of cement beneath me as I walk. Two. Two. Four. Four. Always four sets of that. Always two, two, four, four. Four times each. Look up. Blink 8 times. Two sets of four. Then back down. Two, two, four, four.
Safe. Those numbers are safe. Even, not odd. Odd is bad. 'Odd' is what people call you when you're different. Bad. Wrong.
Two, two, four, four. I try to focus on something else, not on how many steps I'm taking, because there are people behind me. Person. One set of footsteps. Bad. Half of two. I think of it as two feet, and that's better. I feel better.
I round a corner, looking for my goal. Alwa

Just a quick update on my life at the moment not that anyone cares.
Since my last journal, I have finished high school. Stressful as it was, I managed to get through the year, and receive the grades I was hoping for.
I also started university/college six months or so ago. I really like it so far. Even though the workload is worse than school was, the freedom that comes with it is absolutely fantastic. I am studying Electronic Engineering and Japanese as a double degree, though I was thinking of transferring to either Software Engi
Firstly, thank you for all the birthday wishes I received!!! Sorry that I have not been able to reply to them until now, I have exams in a couple of days and have been studying like crazy for the past month or so.
Anyway, yeah... I am still alive. I figured that I needed to come onto dA for a bit, just to help release some of the mass amounts of stress swelling up inside me right now. I feel calmer already.
